bale - Cristiano Ronaldo bypassed Puskas and is now Real Madrid’s fifth top scorer in the La Liga



Cristiano Ronaldo continues to climb up the charts for the top Spanish League goal scorers in Real Madrid’s history, now holding fifth place. With the hat-trick against Seville, his record now comes up to 158 goals, two more than Puskas made in 1958-1966. The Portuguese player has made a great start this season, making 11 goals in the 11 games played in La Liga.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s stats in this regard are impressive, with an average of 1.08 goals per match. His first goal for Real Madrid in the Spanish League came the day he made his debut in the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. It’s taken him 146 games to top Puskas, while the Hungarian had to play 180 to reach his record. Cristiano Ronaldo’s best scoring season in the Spanish League was in 2011/12, when he shot 46 into the net. The next legend to surpass is Hugo Sánchez's record, with 164 goals.
